Implementation

Why consider outsourcing Odoo implementation
The case for an external team, and the conditions under which it stops being the right call.
The argument for an external team
An implementation is a project, not a permanent function. Hiring for it means recruiting skills you need intensely for six months and lightly thereafter. An external team compresses that curve, and brings the pattern recognition that comes from having done the same migration thirty times.
What you keep in-house regardless
Process ownership. No external team can decide how your business should run, and any that offers to is describing a template rather than an implementation. The decisions stay with you; the build does not have to.
When outsourcing stops being the right call
When the system becomes the product. If your competitive advantage lives inside the ERP configuration, that knowledge belongs on your payroll. At that point the right shape is an internal team with external support, not the reverse.
Choosing on evidence rather than proximity
Time zones matter less than working hours that overlap yours and a named team that answers. Ask for references at proposal stage, ask who specifically will be on the calls, and ask what happens when the project hits its first real disagreement.
